Many of our Teaching/Education programs require field experience, clinical work, practicums, internships or student teaching experiences which may not be completed online. Some Nursing programs have additional requirements such as field experiences, clinical components or residencies. Doctoral programs require brief residencies in select cities. Campus Locations
If you prefer the face-to-face interaction of the classroom, you can choose from locations nationwide. The campus-based learning option is available for many degree programs and provides an opportunity for students to meet in person with their instructors and classmates. Work with your own personal representative to help you through your college experience.
Small Classes

Committed Academic Representatives
We know that starting a degree program can be confusing. We’ve done everything we can to make this process as straightforward as possible, so you can spend less time on your schedule and more time on your work. As soon as you start your classes, your Academic Representative will contact you to provide a schedule detailing which classes you need to take and when. They’ll map out your entire degree program, including the exact date of your graduation. Your representative will check in with you periodically throughout your program to make sure you’re comfortably on track. Any time you have questions, you’ll know exactly who to ask.
Committed Enrollment Representatives
Even if you know you want to go back to school, you might not know exactly how to get started. Before you enroll at University of Phoenix, you’ll speak with an Enrollment Representative who will walk you through the entire application process and answer all your questions about programs, forms, fees and everything you need to do before you get started. Your representative can also provide information on transferring applicable credits, prior completed courses and professional training credits.
Committed Finance Counselors
All of our students have access to a dedicated support team including a Financial Counselor who can guide them through the many financial options available.

University of Phoenix exists because there are thousands of people like you who want an education, but can’t afford to put life on hold for four years. Many of our students are working adults who have families and demanding schedules. Everyone at University of Phoenix, from your classmates, to your instructors and representatives, understands the sacrifices you’re making to get your degree and our course model reflects this. Our goal is to help you fit school into your life so that means you can take classes online or on campus. It’s still a lot of work, and we definitely won’t say it’s easy, but getting your degree is possible if you’re willing to work hard and be a little creative with your time.
At University of Phoenix, our job is to prepare you for yours. We want you to learn, but we also want you to learn how to excel in a professional environment which means we place a high value on teamwork and communication. University of Phoenix is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs to offer the following business degrees: Associate of Arts in Foundations of Business, Associate of Arts in Accounting, Bachelor of Science in Business, Master of Business Administration, Master of Management, Doctor of Business Administration, and Doctor of Management.
Counseling
The Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Arizona) and the Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling (Utah) programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP; cacrep.org).

Initial Degree

The College of Education offers state-approved programs in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia. Individual programs vary by state, and not all programs are available at all locations or in both online and on-campus modalities. Candidates may request an institutional recommendation upon successful completion of their program (academic and program requirements). Candidates should check with their state agency for any state-specific requirements, including the acceptability of the University’s initial programs in any state in which they intend to seek licensure or certification. Advanced Degree
University of Phoenix advanced degree programs (Administration & Supervision, Curriculum & Instruction/Reading, and Teacher Leadership) may lead to certification in some states.
